Following in the Scandi footsteps of the likes of Robyn and Icona Pop, the aptly named duo I Am Karate release the synth-smothered emotional rollercoaster ‘Lock’. Based in Stockholm, the electronically focused pair have natural talents in producing effortless pop perfection. Whilst they released ‘Bitter’ early this year, ‘Lock’ marks an incredibly mature progression for I Am Karate. With a catchy, lifted chorus comparable to CHVRCHES, Erika Soldh Ahlstrom and Marta Pettersson have the potential to be the next best thing coming out of Scandinavia.
